Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has read "The Gift" yet? I've read it, and think it's a pretty interesting story. I know there are other people who read it as I've seen some posts on it on tomorrow.sg .
I think while the storyline is interesting and the writing quite good, i feel there's a few holes in the plot:
(a) how did the terrorist cause Hotel New World and Nicoll Highway to collapse? The book seems to suggest he has some psycho-kinetic ability, but if he can bring down buildings by sheer willpower, why aren't there HDB flats collapsing every other day?
(b) If the terrorist was in Hotel New World, why was he not killed when it collapsed?
Anybody else care to share their comments?
