if they refuse to figure out the reasons and go about "replacing" citizens by attracting others and naturalisation, what does it tell those who stay behind?

Coming back to immigrants, it seemed the govt is prepared to accept more. -
frankly, if they came to singapore, was naturalised to become citizens and become upright and productive citizens, no one will complain...
i wonder about those nonsensical types which create problems... like those i mentioned before...

and from what i see, a lot of citizens need to learn basic courtesy... because a lot of parents aren't teaching their children any...

then come those who come in and work in the vice trade..

So PM does know our sentiments towards foreigners (the lousy ones) huh? Thought he was in some ivory tower or something.
Sad lah, the entire speech, the focus is mainly on S'pore's economic progress and continuity to score on international ratings. It's a good thing when foreign companies invest in developing countries but for them to open up plants here, it means that Singaporeans will always face the salary stagnation problem.
We should really work more on developing a entrepreneural culture.
Also hasn't addressed the high costs of living relative to disposable income.
Oh well, do any PMs ever admit and address their country's flaws in a National Day speech? Sad sad sad.....All just wana score points -
