Lemmings are known for its " circumpolar distribution that are notable for population fluctuations and recurrent mass migrations " - and belong to the same category as Rodents.Originally posted by killstyle:animals are cute. esp cute little lemmings and hamsters. what do you think.
Moral of the story : Fairness begets Fairness
IF the goat-herd had taken more care with his existing goats, tending to it with a greater degree of fairness and generosity, perhaps the existing goats will consider giving birth to more off-spring to help the goat-herd become richer.
As matters stand, the goat-herd will only milk the existing goats till they are bone-skinny, enriching himself with the sale of goats' milk, and purchase huge expanse of grassy land, but will deny the existing goats to the benefits of those green grassy land - which are the by-products of the goats' labor.
Under such circumstances, can the goats even dare to think of producing more kids - who will eventually grow up to make the goat-herd even richer and only to be given crummy rewards ?

found some wild goats mingled among them. Hoping to entice the
newcomers to stay and making them his own, he fed the wild goats
abundantly. However, for his own goats, he fed them with a meagre
quantity just sufficient to keep them alive.
When the morning came, he led all the goats out. The wild goats,
having slept well through the stormy night before, scampered away as
fast as they could to the mountains. The goatherd scolded them for
their ingratitude in leaving him, when he had taken more care of them
than of his own herd.
One of the goats then turned and said to him: "That is the very reason
why we are so sceptical; for as you have shown that you treat new
goats better than your own goats, it stands to reason that the good
treatment you gave us will wane once we become your own goats."
sigh...i dont earn millons per year. what 'constructive' solutions would you expect from me?Originally posted by pearlie27:Wow you're fast! When humorous podcast are not welcomed you started telling fable. While entertaining, your fable could also be considered as unconstructive as you didn't offer any solution on how to increase the population of the flock. Fables not allowed too!
