[B}BTW your northen neighbour kick indonesia arse in 1969, ABRI or not ... they are out. As for Malaysia & Singapore, we do have our own trade too which you will know pretty soon.... stay tune dude.
AND Viper52, you have so much hate & anger in you ... seek help.

Well Viper, there are lots of us here who DO NOT think you are racist one bit... unfortunately, there are always someone out there who tries to damage one's reputation.... However, there are always others would have the brain to decern what's truth and whats not...Originally posted by Viper52:Malaysia kick Indonesian arse in '69? Hate? Anger? Nahhhh...I believe theres no need to hate or be angry with anyone, shortens my life. Definitely not worth it...
Just a thought: You called me a racist in a previous post(which I thoroughly refuted). Yet looking at you signature leaves me wondering...whos the racist?
Over to you...
There was definitely SAF involvment albeit not a very big presence...Originally posted by Tachiiri Kinshi:Viper52-There is NO SINGAPORE ARMY involve in it.... not one, maybe because SAF is not around yet.... after all SAF is still new.
Singapore armed forces 1 SIR and 2 SIR....Originally posted by Tachiiri Kinshi:Joe Black - What is SAF involvement during the Confrontation? I been trying to get some information about it ... do let me know if you have some fact about it.
Thanks.
What Trip said is true. Malaysia only has 26 tanks, and LIGHT ones at that (Stingrays is it?) , as of 2000, and I dont think the numbers has changed any during the past two years. (of course, the situation will change when Malaysia receives her PT-91s) Malaysia does however, have a substantial no. of AFVs, about 1200.Originally posted by Tachiiri Kinshi:Tripwire - Where did your story come from this time? Do let me know from where you get your information.
Can't find any data about SAF involvement with British, Australian & Malaysian military history.
There should be some information about it, Let me know the year & I can check again with SAF & the rest of the country force.
Counterraids by SAF? ... the teams that did the deep ops. was Australian SAS & Malaysia RMR. British Army did the support with Gurkha army.
As in Johor, Malaysia & Australian Force send around 850 ABRI out.135 dead.
As for Borneo, 180 ABRI dead.
Australia & Malaysia Force lost 127 men during the confrontation.
SAF killed quite a number of ABRI force in Johor & Kalimantan???? When did that happen?? Where is the records?
SAF lost nearly a platoon in Johor????
SAF was introduce because of the Confrontation, to protect Singapore if this would ever happen to Singapore.
80,000 army with 26 tanks? .... very interesting stories from you again this time.
Guess you been mislead by yourself again.
FACTS dude.
YourFather, what do you think of that book? Worthwhile getting it? Factual enuff? Can you get them at MPH or Times? I'm thinking of getting one tooOriginally posted by YourFather:I got mine from Kinokuniya for $34.50. I dont think one can get more info off the net about the Singapore Armed Forces than from that book.
And the saddest thing is that it takes a foreigner to write something like that.Originally posted by YourFather:Let's just say that you would not be able to get more info about SAF off the internet than from that book. Its one of the better military analysis book that I've read so far.
