granted u have more armed soldiers then us.....but basically 1/4th of ur population must go to war.....so there is around halve a million job basically vacant in your country......then how to generate ur economy without the halve a million workforce......after that the garrisoning ur conquered teritory.....guerilla warfare by some of the remnant of malaysian army.....the malay population riot everyday......can u cope? are u sure?
well dont get me wrong.....ur army is among the most well equiped in the whole region.....malaysian army is way way far behind......come to blow...there is 99% u gonna come out as a winner.....but believe me u wouldnt come out unsratched.....

Just take a look at the middle east. Who whack who?
absolutely agree......anyway....most of our countrymen came from the same stock and barrel rite...Originally posted by weiqimun:i think it's high time all the jokers out there who still suggest war bet MY & SG, either is jest or not, to just STFU by now. it's excruciating to read some still insist on perpetuating this thot....
u dun know what u r talking about nor were u engaging yr brain to come up with something more purposeful, even if it is for laughs. nothing abt war will `amicably' settle anything.
for instigating such, i think it just tells all of us what low lifes nincompoop u guys are....
Totally agreed. Wars are created by politicians that generate hatred in both countries. Peace to all my and sg bros. If the politicians want to fight, then give them boxing gloves.Originally posted by SureRock:absolutely agree......anyway....most of our countrymen came from the same stock and barrel rite...

errr.....Mahathir did said last time...."if u poke ya head too oaften, it may get chopp off".....but if us come knocking on our door because of this issue....we will served them rendang and ketupat in tradition of malaysian hospitallity and then we ask..."Hows ya native doing?"Originally posted by revotune:malaysia dun care about US , and US hardly notice Malaysia i think lol
hmmm...country as a whole.....we are moderate.....but some of our citizen think otherwise.....and start bombing neighbouring country.....so sad to think bout ur fellow countrymen can do that.....and they are not just normal person....but an intelectual....what a waste....Originally posted by weiqimun:actually, i think US finds malaysia as one of the more reliable islamic nations they cn talk to...they wun completely trust msia but in the era of muslim jihad elsewhere agst the americans, malaysia can be a mederator of sorts.

But hey saying that i also dun know much about what the hell is going on with these two politicians that is also causing waves in perception of the local populace about the others country.
Indeed, it is well known that LKY contributed a whole lot of stuff for S'pore prosperity. He saw stuff that during 1965, people would laugh at and most possibly curse and swear at. And yeah he brought some success...
The same can be said about Tun Mahathir. During his reign, there was the wawasan 2020 thing that i saw. I still don't know what the hell thats about, but its attempting to make malaysia into a developed nation. The gameplan sounds, and he gave what at that time seems abit impossible, a vision for a better future. He is a visionary. Sadly, I've not heard what has been successfully carried out about this.
Both men have an influence, hence any word that comes out of them is bound to churn out its fair share of feelings.
Hence, when i read through some of the postings, i feel that some people mention stuff like war between the nations and etc...(you get the idea). I really don't think that is what everybody wants. Come on, do we need one when we know up north somewhere near A VERY BIG country, some dictator's threatening to blow up nukes? sheesh
Also back to this thing about the marginalising of The Singapore Melayu...
Aku Anak Melayu Singapura...(Translated: I'm a Singapore Malay)
Why is this topic coming up?
Its abit tiring to listen about this all the time...
I mean, so far, as a malay youth growing up in a predominantly chinese nation
I've been given an opportunity to study, have a good education...(currently waiting for Uni entry)
I'm given access to all forms of facilities and services that the government offers...(Medisave, Medishield...Any chinese medisave or medishield? No right.)
I'm allowed to practice my faith without interference or fear
...It'll take too long to type everything
All i am saying is i don't feel that we are marginalised in any way.
SO why all the ruckus?
But saying all that perhaps all you other people can give me examples of how you think we are marginalised. Rather than just shoot that we are, I'll be more than happy to clarify it
Enjoy!!!
