actually, i think US finds malaysia as one of the more reliable islamic nations they cn talk to...they wun completely trust msia but in the era of muslim jihad elsewhere agst the americans, malaysia can be a mederator of sorts.

But hey saying that i also dun know much about what the hell is going on with these two politicians that is also causing waves in perception of the local populace about the others country.
Indeed, it is well known that LKY contributed a whole lot of stuff for S'pore prosperity. He saw stuff that during 1965, people would laugh at and most possibly curse and swear at. And yeah he brought some success...
The same can be said about Tun Mahathir. During his reign, there was the wawasan 2020 thing that i saw. I still don't know what the hell thats about, but its attempting to make malaysia into a developed nation. The gameplan sounds, and he gave what at that time seems abit impossible, a vision for a better future. He is a visionary. Sadly, I've not heard what has been successfully carried out about this.
Both men have an influence, hence any word that comes out of them is bound to churn out its fair share of feelings.
Hence, when i read through some of the postings, i feel that some people mention stuff like war between the nations and etc...(you get the idea). I really don't think that is what everybody wants. Come on, do we need one when we know up north somewhere near A VERY BIG country, some dictator's threatening to blow up nukes? sheesh

I'm allowed to practice my faith without interference or fear

All i am saying is i don't feel that we are marginalised in any way.

For 17 times when the Malaysian politicians made remarks about this there were no sound from Singaporeans. Your clarification here is late but better than never. Thank you very much indeed.
The dictator up north that has actually blown up a nuke is not from a very big country. Fortunately, there are other very big countries up north to keep the power balance. As far as we are concerned, it is good to clarify those unfounded opinions used by politicians for their own agenda, before those opinions are taken as facts, by people also with their own agenda.
