If the minorities in Msia are marginalised, how come there are two non-Malay Malaysian Idols? There is another singing competition recently, One in a Million, and the winner is Chinese.
But then, it's silly to use winners of singing competitions as examples of marginalisation.

malaysian govt is probablly scared the chinese would take over their country...we all know chinese is hardworking...their purpose in life is different from the malays...chinese like to accumulate wealth...and power...and the malaysian govt knew it...they are anyways a malay nation..wid malay sultan.. -

Thankfully there are learned people in Malaysia who detest him.

As a spore chinese,we also cant be employed due to our deficiency in chinese language.All this happened,we must thank to our MM who closed all the chinese schools n stated that only English lang is the lang which can progress our country regardless of the fact the Jap speaks little Eng but they r more advanced n developed than us. Now, MM c PRC has progressed so fast ,he want us to learn chinese lang but some of us just cant cauz we had oreli westenized n the only way out is to migrate!!!
But this MM wanted to be a world leader,that why on one hand he is licking USA c on the other hand interfereing with other countries' internal affair n stiring up the local chinese ppls emotion in order to get more of them come into spore n sucking their blood like us.This is a very low class tactic which he may get Spore black fired. -

To threadstarter, please quote your source the letter was published in. What is the newspaper's name? When was it published?
With grammar as such that has been pointed out by others here, either someone translated the contents from malay to english or it's made up entirely.
Prove the authenticity of the letter, before we continue this discussion. Don't fan the flame yet, people. -

May I just contribute as well - Another reason for emphasizing on the English language is that LKY is himself English educated and also in order to attract the foreign investors to employ our people. Had Lim Chin Siong become the PM, Chinese schools would still have prevailed. -
