As this individual has pointed out, I think it is quite right that our gov allow older workers to pay less Incoem Tax. So at least, they can take care of themselves if this is what worries our government.

I AM 55 and have to go on working to support myself. With reduced CPF contributions and rising interest rates, I try to cope with my housing loan instalments. My income tax is higher now as the take-home pay is higher because of the lower employee contribution rate for CPF. Is it fair for older folk to pay more income tax? There should be empathy for ageing workers. Can the government review the tax liability of older workers?
