We are here to read & comment.It is not wrong to comment or criticise.If u agree with a msg,it is likely u have nothing to say,If u disagree with an opinion,of course u have a comment to make.Hence,there are more comments than agreements in internet forums.
For politics,most members criticise the govt or policies.Just making comments don't get us anywhere.What do we want?What direction do we want to see?So besides criticism,let us also offer positive opinions & construtive ideas.Let us also express support to constructive ideas which u agree.So the govt knows these are the ideas most members want.Hopefully,it would implement them. -
Govt doesn't care.......Their starting point is based on surveillance, not action.

I support an action-oriented government. In the past, we do come across too many committees and too many studies which did not end up in actions.
Now is the time to go for directions and implementations of all the policies which will lower costs of living and increase our assets and jobs.
It is no use to keep talking about first world and other countries having other problems when we have so many problems not yet addressed.
All talks and little actions will make the economy go down at the slightest slow down of other economies whereas if we are using our reserves appropriately we will end up creating more jobs and insulated from external slow downs.
If PM Lee means what he says that he wants to be more open and inclusive and even people to change the government, he must get on with more actions and not talks only. -

There are many of us who have been constructive...by leaving this place for far better places...other places may not be perfect and this little red dot always thinks it is but there are things other places offer that little red dot does not have...We don't just talk...we walk away....freedom of choice....leave if you can -

Today's negative input could be tomorrow's positive outcome. Having inflicted much damaged, the failed EM3 policy has been reversed after much negative input. So what is now wrong being negative if u know what is good for the society?
Negative (adj):
a. Expressing, containing, or consisting of a negation, refusal, or denial: gave a negative answer to our request.
b. Indicating opposition or resistance: a negative reaction to the new advertising campaign. -

We are so preoccupied with our own thinking so that we rarely show agreement or praise others' opinion.
Perhaps the moderator can make a rule that a member can't post a commnet unless he has already posted a positive msg per day. -

Yup, the SS Sillypore is indeed on fire...
and Sillypore is really in a rush to go somewhere, building new infrastructure all over the place, trying to be No.1 in everything...wanting to be the hub of this and that...makes life so miserable for people here....let's all encourage one another to leave and make good elsewhere... -
