No matter what reasons are given...it does not justify making stupid comments about a neighbor, even if it is true...
Now we have got our thumbs into the noses of 2 of our neighbors, malaysia and thailand...wonder what next....indonesia??? won't be surprised if it involves the haze...
We all have accepted that the haze will come back every year...and one more reason to leave this little red dot for the clear air of other places permanently....haha and to think we are powerless and all we can do is issue health advisories....helpless little red dot -

neways ... the focus here is on whether temasek exceeded foreign ownership laws, Thailand has strict about foreign ownership of assets, I nearly bought a condo in Thailand with my own savings cos they were so cheap, until I read up about the ownership laws .... Ironically, many of these laws were tightened under Thaksin ...
my argument still stands I believe, even if the Thais declare the sale illegal, any respectable goverment doesn't simply just take off with the 1.9 billion and flip the finger at us ... it simply doesn't happen that way ... Thailand is not some banana republic, nor is it Malaysia (think CLOBE) ... we are all members of asean, with a long history of warm friendship and mutual interests stretching back a long long time ....
they'll most likely take it back ..... but they'll certainly dismantle Thaksin's empire to return the 1.9 billion if they have to .... -
Don't worry my friends, Our battle-trained Commandos and the "always eager to fight" young soldiers will march to Bangkok and get our money back. Thats what our Army, Navy and Air Force is for - RIGHT, train to fight not train to RUN. like they do every morning. Remember not so long ago, our tiny red dot with 4 million population want to take on Malaysia with 40 million and not only that, was willing to take on the "OTHERS" about 500 million around this region.
What do you think our Apaches, F9s,15s,16s, 2 submarines (reconditioned ones) Missile Coverts, Helicopters, tanks, etc etc are for - it for fighting, yes, not for our GREAT ONES to run away when there is problems. -
