When elites start to look for higher rewards for themselves, they can make all kinds of clever comparison to show that S$600,000.00 pa is too low to pay Durains.
So they want more and more self-rewards and started making more and more bolder comparisons as if they are the Li Ka Shing or Bill Gates.
When they saw that footballers, stock brokers are getting higher pays, they become more edgy and wanted to be paid higher and higher.
But when stock brokers' income dropped in a bad market, there was no acknowledgement and dropping of elites' pays but instead they quickly started changing their comparisons to others.
This is really what a system of elitism may do to a country and when the problems came like the recessions they would quickly deny their responsibility and keep pushing the problems back to the people.
So how do citizens continue to believe in our elites and whether S$600,000.00 pa is still considered underpaid or peanuts.
Where does the standard of arguments fare in the real world where CEOs are paid this kind of monies. Simple many public listed companies which paid this kind of peanuts are losing monies but are the elites going to admit this fact.
The benchmarking of our elites' salaries to the highest paid bosses in the commercial sector is like telling the citizens that in the event the country loses monies like in Shin Corp the elites will use their own monies to make good the losses.
What is ridiculous is ridiculous. The comparison with private sector's bosses' self-rewards is incorrect, wrong and immoral.
The bosses and entrepreneurs staked in their own monies in their own businesses but our elites only use the public and taxpayers' monies to spend on projects and services like bill collectors and do not have to worry about unemployments or losses.
So from the above-stated facts, it is more than obvious that public sector employees and ministers and MPs are different kettles of fish. They are entitled to wage-remuneration and not all the comparison with the highest paid jobs in the world.
But despite the fact that charity organizations are hardly able to raise enough monies for the suffering dying patients it is immoral to pay huge proportions of donations towards their CEOs' peanut pays and bonuses for doing mundane collection jobs.
S$600,000.00 is already way above wage-remuneration categories' highest rewards for labour and yet our elites continue to lament that these are not enough.
Give us all the facts then to show that the world-class charity organizations elsewhere are paying millions to their CEOs while patients are enjoying cures of their diseases at token fees.
So there is no end to all the clever arguments the elites are putting up to justify what is enough. For the time being, citizens are still waiting for them to solve the "20 Major government policy errors" and when that happen, may be it is not too late to consider how much is enough. -

In view of the decreasing Senior Dog Pension and Aging Population,
the Junior Poodle have taken the initiative to show the people that the requirement of picking up additional certificate.
In this case, they have chosen the art of street dancing to prepare for any "early" retirement and, at the same time, parade their skills to impress the Senior Poodle to obtain more bone-nus.
They will be awarded a dog-chain for street dancing so that they are certified to perform in the street of NY in the future.
This will also provide a opportunity to trim their bum due to pre-long "sitting" position.
At the same time, the people will be getting more value-added service as the people can show off to the world that the poodle can double-off as a back-up dancers in case of any shortage of dancers at the coming Integrated Resort or the Horse Show.
As for the people, they have already acknowledged that they have indirectly employed a bunch of useless poodle to provide more "hike" in their daily life.
It is getting their money back a bit through watching the clown performing in real life.
Dun the Poodle have any pride or they are just plain stupid ?
