HK Appeal judge cleared of false claim, but questions coming in.
Michael Wong, who retired from the(Hing Kong) Court of Appeal in August 2001 and became EOC( Equal Opportunities Commission) chairman in August 2003, was accused of accepting free air tickets from friends of his daughter, Rosaline Wong, on three occasions between 1998 and 2001.
Despite this, he still claimed reimbursements amounting to HK$171,666(S$34,000) from the government.
Wong previously told a Legislative Council panel probing these claims that because of his judicial duties, he had asked his daughter to handle his air bookings and that in return he paid for her shopping and other expenses.
The allegations were among a series of incidents and claims preceding his resignation from the EOC in November 2003, just three months after he took up the job.

In this Editoral is angered that it is wrong that the Retired judge was just asked to return
the money to HK goverment and he will be let free.Orisun dated 05 oct 2006.It asked that if the money the former jugde claimed from government is appropriate, then why he was asked to return?
If the judge claimed the money wrongly, then why he was not procesuted?
There were few doubtful cases in HK .
