The Haze

After so many years of promises and vows to stop the practice of slash and burn in Sumatra by Indonesian government, why isn't there one single improvement??
What do you people think can be done to stop this hazey problem? -
give money to indonesia loh...so simple solution..

I mean, there's obviously a lack of sufficient dedication to this issue.
Maybe they just don't care enough. -

Right now I have colleagues, and employees whos old parents are suffering ill-health because of the worsening haze this past weeks.
I mean if they don't care enough about themselves and their own economy, why drag others down with their selfish practices??
I think their gov is like dead-wood... done and doing nothing... -
FUK INDO !! damn thier haze.. ever singe the worst one to hit at 1997.. their pledge is not kept... the time for diplomacy has long time expired. Words alone can no longer move this issue and fix the problems.
I saw we invade n burn them all! They wanna burn ? we burn them all out! BURN THEM TILL NO ONE IS LEFT!
The effects of the haze is not only just unhealthy its also hazardous! Our next generation is subject to the ills of this HAZE.. i swear.. its thier secret weapon to wipe our next generation out n make us all deformed n fuked up!

1. Not enough dedication by the people in charge.
2. Too many other things to worry about besides the haze - separatists in Aceh, JI terror attacks, bird flu outbreaks, earthquakes and tsunamis, economic malaise...
3. Too difficult to control all the small-time farmers over such a large land area.
4. Too much corruption.
5. Insufficient funds even without corruption - they still have to set aside funds for the problems in (2). -

The Indonesian government can make all the laws they want against the burning, but they can't enforce them. It's just too difficult in terms of money, material and men.
