  How come most of the news about the Temasek-Shin deal come from
  foreign papers instead of local newspapers?

  that surprise me too, most of these new on failure comes from oversea.
  
  Maybe they will keep it from the public till they are force to sell off 51% of Shin corp ownership
  
  By then we can compare the losses incur.... who is telling the truth !!
