Last year, I was at one of Bishan's coffee shops and there's this store mend by foreigners (my guess is that they're from China judging from their apparent accents).
The queue was quite long due to peek hours and everyone's rushing to buy dinner for themselves either back home or just eat out. So I was queueing in that queue and when it came to my turn, they just gave me that LJB, as if they wanna bash me up. It's not that I didn't smile or being polite in placing my orders. I thought, maybe they're just being too tired slaving the whole day. So I ignored those expressions.
And when my food's ready, I handed them some cash to pay for my food and that vendor just snatched it away rudely. Then they just placed my food there on the metallic ledge and in sharp seconds, turned their back against me rudely ignoring my presense.
Foreigners? Good service? I doubt so.
They're just here to take up some space in our workforce.
The reason why they have to come here is because we guys sad to say are a little picky when it comes to finding jobs. And we have low birth rates cos both parents are working late into the night with so many OTs. Haiz.. No locals to fill the market, we then need more foreigners. And those foreigners will leave after a few years and what will happen to our economy? Slacken? Decrease?
I dunno...
