There will always be people from 18 years old brats to 88 years old farts who are all out to make your blood boil It would be better to realize early that we have a choice not to be angered by them and to engage them in the most non-destructive way (to ourselves) as possible.
While we other people for making callous remarks. Many people had their life tough but they did not whine.

I guess life is how you perceive it.
And my grandfather told me when I was quite young that life is a war that everyone loses.
So you have to enjoy the scirmishes, and you have to enjoy the battles on your way to losing the war.
And it took me quite a few years to understand that he was saying life isn't easy: in the first place you're going to die in the long run, so you better enjoy all the problems you have.
There are people who told me in situations in a lot of times in different places where everybody thought it was pretty bad, and I say hey it'll be a better day tommorrow or we'll have lost the war.
If you survive unitl tomorrow, you've won the battle. So, you smile and go home. -

“There’s no point in lambasting the Government for making our society one that is, I quote, ‘far too survival of the fittest’…. If uncertainty of success offends you so much, you will certainly be poor and miserable.”
She concluded by telling Mr Derek Wee to “get out of my elite uncaring face”. -

“What she said did come across as insensitive. The language was stronger than what most people could take.
But she wrote in a private blog and I feel that her privacy has been violated. After all, they were the rantings of an 18-years-old among friends.
I think if you cut through the insensitivity of the language, her basic point is reasonable, that is, that a well-educated university graduate who works for a multinational company should not be bemoaning about the Government and get on with the challenges in life.

MP Wee talks about family in the above.
Derek Wee is just reminding the government of the “fear” / “feeling” of the common people – about the competition from Foreign Talent, about lack of job opportunities for the older workers.
MP Wee is telling Derek Wee off, for bringing up real issues that is really difficult for the government to solve. It appears that this is the present government way of solving these problems, by telling people off. -

Ya, but they will put him hidden somewhere among the heavy weight MPs in some GRC. They will shine the spotlights on the high profile MP and get you to vote for them, slipping Mr. Wee in unknown.
Only a few months later, they will say they need to make way for the younger generations and ask the high profile MP to retire. Very good strategy.
Honestly, how many AMK residents know who is Mr. Wee? Hell, I don't even know who is my MP. -
