That's very Ah Q, you know.Originally posted by LazerLordz:It doesn't matter if you are better off in many ways than others, and surely no one will take offence if you are smarter, more eloquent and generally more well off / academically inclined/ physically endowed/.
The crux is how you relate your supposedly superior self to others. IF you can be circumspect and not let your merits bubble over like an untended kettle, hot water will not spill on you.
What the heck are you talking about? Care to share a link?Originally posted by Hogzilla:That's very Ah Q, you know.
The pressing charge topic.
Do you think the WP, after creating so much havoc in Sammyboy forum, will consider to take action after the Sedition Act reply was posted in Sammyboy forum?
Or they will be your average Joe, No Action Talk Only?

...and still get to surf sgforums during official "instittionalised" hours and claimed it is part of the job right?Originally posted by the Bear:in other countries, they get the crap beaten out of them...
here, they are institutionalised
I think that this statement from you is very immature and equal to those whom you think are elitist and nonsensical.Originally posted by Ponders:Just ignore JC students.
They are just immature people who thinks getting a JC education is everything and think its enough to make them have a elitist mindset.
While it is important one should have self-esteem to place oneself above others, it does not equate to elitism.
I will just challenge these students who post elitist comments online to grow up and join the greater society unsheltered by the onslaught of reality.
When reality bites, you know being an elitist isn't a solution.
I think the "E" is for EliteOriginally posted by JackOT:Regarding the comics strip. Does E stands for E cup? Keke...Sammyboy forum said hers are G-cup.
There's also valid points about elitism. When you think of nerds and geeks, what's the first impression that comes to you?Originally posted by kaister:He did make some valid points though about how not all 40 year olds are suffering from the same situation.
Not defending him, just in case the flaming starts.![]()

Did Ms Wee just violated the Sedition Act?

Maybe you are right that in JCs, there are people who really think that way, that of getting a degree is everything etc. I personally has been thru both the JC system and the Poly system.
To be fair, there are black sheeps in both and there are alot of people from both system who would "die" when they get out into the society and work. Its not fair to just flame the JCs students.
just mho.![]()
