The sad thing is that the new President, if there's going to be one, will be just as corrupt as Chen. Asian politicials have a high chance of being corrupt, it's just a question of whether you get caught or not.
I always tell this to my friends. "There is always a corruption in politics. It's just a matter whether they (politicians) get caught or not."
In Ah-Bian's case, he couldn't conceal it well enough. A bad padlock (Ah-Bian) invites a picklock (all the investigations).
But corruptions also can take many forms. Using relationships (through bloodline or not) to get certain gains in business, isn't that corruption? If it is, how are you going to verify this form of corruption is corruption?
