would shouldering more responsibilities be as welcome as rights?

maybe us men need a Men's Charter too

Men generally have come to perceive Women's Charter as over-indulgent to and over-protective of women.
Many women are increasingly taking advantage of the presumption that women are the parties to be protected in any divorce proceedings, and are assured of division of assets for not making an effort in making marriage work.
Women now generally think men are the ones to provide for the family and any separate incomes of theirs will be at their own disposals instead of being accountable to half of household expenditures.
So many men could not save whereas women save well and are generally wealthier than men counterparts.
Private investigation agencies are also taking advantage of this situation and often speak up as if men are always at fault.
So what do men do in such injustice? They seem to vote with their feet; the more they are successful the more they are unlikely to get into marriage easily like before.
Men politicians are on the other hand afraid to raise this issue because women form 50% of the votes and any misstatement by men politicians might result in their losing votes because women voters might be sensitive to such issue being raised.
So the problem will persist for quite some years with men taking the inequity silently but grudgingly voting with their feet.
No wonder no matter how government tries to promote marriages and birth, men would tell their girl friend - darling why rush into marriage, we need more time; cohabitation is nothing wrong.
