Yeah, the opposition MPs should just continue to ask for funds to upgrade their estates every now and then.
If they get the funds, good for the poeple.
If they don't get the funds, they will make the incumbent party look bad.

It sound to me that the finance part in SG is being monitored by PAP. So what if Mr Chiam is in charge of PP . Maybe he can do a much better job then Sitoh. $80 million in the hands of Sitoh and Chiam, each can make good use of it im sure. But who can make BETTER use is another thing.

I reckon what the opposition MPs should do are to continuously ask for the HDB upgrade fun in the next 5 years. Remind voters that the opposition wards residents are viewed as non-equal to PAP wards residents.
I would suggest the following actions and arguments:
1. Suggest the rhetorical questions that non-PAP wards member pay less income tax as they do not receive the same among of privileges as the PAP-ward residents in parliament.
2. Do more research of what has been said in the last election about treatment to residents of non PAP wards and raise points and counter points in the parliament.
3. Raise the various statements of being "inclusive, compasionate, yada yada yada" made by the PM and ask why these are only shown to PAP ward residents and not in the non-PAP ward residents.
4. Remind all Singaporean that PAP view itself as Singapore. So Singapore=PAP?
5. Remind the Minsters Mah that the funds for upgrading comes from the tax-payers till the next election. Get him to explain why Singapore is being ran like George Orwell's Animal farm where "Some animals are more equal than other animals".
6. Ask Eric Sitoh where is his commitment to the ward? So only when selected, he is willing to work for the resident, not selected means no care, indifferent to their plights caused by his own party.... So his service to people are conditional, selfishly motivated?

there are more than 66% of singaporeans that is naive and that spell lots of trouble for singapore. -
So the opp. debated the upgrading issue with the govt in the Parliament.Mr Chiam asked for fund for his ward.Perhaps he should have tabled a proper motion to debate the matter instead.

Opposition MPs should consider raising funds to upgrade their estates, I don't know if this is allowed by law, but it'll just showcase the polarity one has to bear for making choices.

Nope. Rather the 66.6 per cent are like the 30 odd per cent placed in a situation. I do not agree with the criticisms that these individuals are callous bootlickers or what not, rather like all of us, we are enfixed upon a archiac social mechanism which transcends and influences our own personality traits. I guess to truely uncover what is beyond the myrth of cobwebs, one has to take it upon themselves and question our realities, rather than just taking everything for what it is. Now if the above is not bad enuf.. consider this:
During the last election, Chiam told everyone they upgraded lifts in his ward at 1/2 the price of of what an equivalent PAP upgrade would cost.
Meaning if you are in a PAP ward, upgrade cost will be double of what an opposition ward would cost.
Is there a possibility upgrade cost is inflated?
If so, actual upgrade cost is only 50% of what PAP claim to be. (if Chiam can cook.. err i mean upgrade.. so can elites in PAP.. keke)
Now, looking at the above, I think you've just paid 100% of the actual upgrade cost yourself! PAP did nothing for u.. but wonder where the other 50% of PAP contribution gone to?
Chaim's resident got new lift, PAP's resident also got new lift. But Chiam's ward got it for free.. and those in Pay And Pay's ward.. PAY up lah!
