But little do they know that some citizens even have to calculate the fare properly before leaving their home to go somewhere. To some, esp the Govt, our bus fare and MRT fare is only $1 -2 per journey. But to the needy, it means a big expenditure amount every month. -

But the lack of assistance for those in need, especially those that cannot read or understand mainstream English and its fine print is appalling. CPF is one govt board that is trying to bridge this gap by fielding help staff at the application stage to guide those in need of clarification. -

i have seen senior citizens who choose to walk long journey and save up the transport fare.
so what if they get about $100+ every mth?
juz food and transport expenses is not enough liao.

In USA, we will probably see one of the senators helping to score points with the people. But sadly, this doesn't happen in Singapore.
