Look, I don't like some of the stuff the mushroom spouts either...

I have low opinion of local nus-trained doctors anyway. I went to NSC 9/10 times the local doctor prescribes the wrong medicine for my perioral dermatis - they can't get it in their thick skulls that it is not napkin rash no matter what the previous senior doctor(visiting fellow from UK) wrote about it. Frankly I oppose what Oxford mushroom says most of the time but it is also his right to discuss his views and I do exercise my right to rebuff them .

Not sure .
I met some good NUS trained doctors in Australia and I don't think that can be generalised especially when some cardiologist who graduated from oxford nearly prescribed my mom the wrong medication once until I spotted the mistake. Some doctors are good to the point of being great but some doctors are crap regardless of where they studied in. -

No one is being forced to subscribe to the OM's views. If you don't like the stuff the mushroom says, then by all means debate them and rebuff them with your own points. Tackle his arguments head-on if you don't like them.
Shooting him in the back with these kind of threads is not the way to go. This forum is meant for the discussion of current sociopolitical issues, not the bashing of forummites. -

OM may have a very strong pro-govt streak there, but it's his right to have his stand on things. This thread should be closed because it is encouraging personal attacks on another person who has done nothing wrong but state his own viewpoints. -
I agree with fudgester, fymk and LazerLordz. God knows I've had a few tiffs with OM, and we have certainly exchanged barbs, but it's always been in the context of some other point that we've disagreed upon. Most of the time I'll still say he's wrong because of a lack of facts, but he does occasionally make a reasonable point. Bashing OM for the sake of bashing him, instead of taking him on his arguments, really serves no purpose at all.

Sometimes is think OM is just a nick. Maybe we have a whole team of people working on it to propagate pro government views on different forums.
The reason i say that is because the views by OM are too close to government and sometimes these views appear before the 146th publishes them. -
If he is a lackey or politically motivated, I do not think it's fair for him to express his views here, because it's like asking "the Holy Trinity" (the father, the son and the holy goh) to speak here. Their views are all biased towards the ruling, therefore it's NOT a discussion but more of a propaganda campaign.
