  Oil exploration employed drilling tool to drill sideway thousands of kilometre deep into the earth mantle
  
  so in principle it will affect the sovereignty rights of the nations near the exploration area

  Soon you will hear that GST is going up to 15% because if Singaporeans want to be rich, you have to make sacrifice first, contribute to subsidise to explore for oil in Singapore water- it is for the good of your next generation, but ministers like us have to increase or peg our pay to those oil producing countries', otherwise who will manage our oil find?

  Singapore is already rich, just not the common non elite people.
  Oil or no oil, prices will keep increasing, salaries of our "Talented" ministers will keep increasing. We are told IR or casino in 2009 will bring more janitorial and perhaps spread-leg jobs for us and we should not ask for more.

  It is ok to say all the fields (the are operating)are
  inside MY land.But oil flow underground .If there is oil in MY land,
  Spore also get chance.
