For a start, the Philippines(prior to Seow's detention) had already offered him asylum(when things first started to go wrong) if he wanted and had mooted a plan to boycott tourism to Singapore. Francis Seow was the Solicitor-General of Singapore (which is no.2 to the Attorney-General) , and was a candidate for the post of Chief Justice.
That's the man the state media painted to be someone whom he clearly wasn't. -

I dunno who would be so stupid to kill someone when that person is in your custody. That action merely gave a reason for PAP's own downfall.
As a poly grad, I already understand this point, surely an experienced lawyer and a Trinity College graduated Mathematican understands that as well. -
