A Bit Tired...

Actually I often wonder why I bother.
Since any suggestions we give about anything will not have any effect, any ideas will all be considered as whining.
And let's face the facts, the government is supported by most Singaporeans. Although people seem to complain a lot they did in fact vote the government into power.
I am beginning to see that our people are only pretending to be unhappy with the government.
At least oxford mushroom is honest about it.
Nothing we do will ever make a difference. -
How can, ANYONE do or say or change anything when Freedom of Speech is NOT ALLOWED? Our gov has been smart to keep us all chasing after money to pay their ever increasing Taxes and Bills, so much so that almost everyone is preoccupied with making ends meet?
In so long as there is NO (real) democracy here, their rule will be prolonged.
Note that I didn't say they'll last forever, simply because NOTHING and NO ONE can.
Since they don't owe us a living (or ways to make a living), we shouldn't owe them a living as well!!
WE DON'T OWE THEM THE VOTES ANYMORE!!!! -
Whining haiz...At least we can whine,people in some country whine then the next second they will end up dead.
Can whine is a blessing in singapore but sometimes seriously whining is not enough .i wished we can do more.

I am sounding paranoid, but what if most Singaporeans (outside their constituencies) actually hate them but pretend in public to support the opposition to be popular? Look at the tens of thousands who listen to opposition rallies, but where are the votes?
The polls demonstrate that the opposition's biggest hurdle is not the government, but the citizens themselves. -

I am disappointed with the people, the general masses who keep doing the same thing ie vote Pap. and then hope that Pap will help them when history shows that Pap had been only pushing blame all these years, increasing our financial burden and doing everything to be elitist and helping themselves. What makes people think Pap will change by voting them in.
There is a difference between idealism and reality. We make noise once but do not always expect any change. Things are quite set. You see, for things to change, it needs a lot of noise continiously. If you have a smoking habit, can you change overnight.
To me, the people who voted Pap and now complain deserve every bit of it. I can only say Singaporeans are NATO. But don't say Chiam and Low never tried.. When they tried, we never see only. Mediacorspe always selectively show segments to the benefit of Pap.

Sometimes I wonder why it should affect me. After all I am not starving or anything. I should just shut up and adjust since everyone else in society seems happy to do the same.
But to realize that everything has been set by powerful forces, that I am reality a nobody who cannot make any difference makes me unhappy.
True Singaporeans accept reality easily, I see things that are yet to be. That makes me a dreamer. Which is to other Singaporeans, is a loser.
Those who cannot see will not feel the pain. I admire them. -

Long ago I also thought I would change lives by taking up teaching - I never taught and I don't think I am that noble to change lives.
Then later I thought I can be good at art, then I saw the works of the other people and all that nice anime - to I shelved my thought.
Then I thought I can try my best at work and try to work hard and climb the corporate ladder - apparently working hard didn't get me anywhere. Just got me more work at the same position. People who suck arse and curried like no tomorrow won the day.
Now, I just live day by day. Perhaps come by SGF to gripe a bit. Perhaps to throw a curve ball, be wicked, or maybe advice a bit and reminiscence about the past. But then, I decided to be happy with myself and to be happy with what I have. But still there are things that make me mad and feel hopeless. For example: The rest of Singapore still feels tat the current power is doing a great job. I would argue that if mice were constantly set on the wheel to earn their next meal, there would most certainly be no creativity.
But there is nothing I can do but accept that life it what it is. I had been reminded of that constantly because my MIL is a very short term view person bordering on somewhat illogical sometimes. But I stay with her and she cooks my meals so I have to accept that nothing is perfect. Life is beautiful because of imperfection and tradegy. -

Its not as though that singaporeans really meant to vote for the PAP or with sincerity at least. They have to think about their future. Yes, call us cowards, but in order to live safely and properly (
), we HAVE or are FORCED to vote for them.
Those constituencies who did not vote for them end up not having the funds to upgrade their area. This caused a lot inconvenience to the elderly and the disabled as they need the installations a lot. You never know, they might list down those people who did not vote for them and deny them the rights to packages given out by the government.
Hence, we are being force to vote for them. Because, PAP tricked many people into thinking that they are the government when they are not. Also, they abused their authority just because they have the larger number of people in the government, thus they made use of the money meant for the community.
Therefore, the only thing we can do is pray that they will drop dead one by one and be banished to the 18th level of hell. TO HELL WITH THEM!

Why do you need to measure yourself by what the others; who are too lazy to wake up their minds and consciously reject the crap that they have been fed; think?
If you are leading a comfortable life, you have a duty to speak out to the best of your ability. We may not acheive concrete change overnight, but if we do not speak our mind, can you tell your kids in their face that "I'm sorry, Daddy didn't do enough, or contributed in his little way when he could?"
It's worth thinking. The minute those of us who are comfortable, lapse into apathy, then it's the death knell of an alternative voice in Singaporean society. -

The system is not good enough for us today, it has proven inadequate to bring Singapore further up the ladder.
