how can police enforce immoral law?

in the light of CSJ's jail for failure to apply for permit for speaking in public, im really ashamed of singapore police force that they will enforcing such an immoral law against the people of singapore?
"1st world standard and developed nation", this is what all the PMs had described about singapore, plus all the useless and pricy MPs, and yet, we have such a draconian law. -
don't think any citizen dare to claim world class or first class... its just hype..

u must know the police receive their salary from who..
If its LHL or LKY speaking, they would just say its an important annoucement or some crap they can come up with to keep it lawful lor... -
dont know when then will singapore realise this.....and willingly do something about it like CSJ

never consider singapore as first world nation yet. coz we still have 3rd world politics.

For Police, it's literally Lan Lan. Cos they are governed by the law, just like everyone else. Worse still, they have to enforce it. Even if they do not like any particular law, if people contravene it, they will still have to take that person to task. Even if they feel sorry for the person.
Go ask around, I'm sure those of you with policemen friends will have stories of any given times when they feel sorry for certain people [who are sometimes driven to drastic measures, even if it means commiting an offence], but still have to take them to task anyhow. Policemen are human too, you know. Unfortunately for them, it is a dirty job, but one that they must do nonetheless.
If you have any issues with any given law, do raise it up with your MP. Unfortunately for most people like us, this is the only thing we can do at our level.
Or if anyone knows of any other legitimate way, do care to share with us all?

alot of things not very transparent in singapore, alot of money goes into pockets and we won't know, but i believe that one day someone (with great justice and not like a dog to the government) will notice a bone leading to the closet with all the skeletons and then to the cave with even more skeletons, that will be the day PAP falls. Looking forward to that day and be part of the skeleton digging group, I am sure it will be within this 2 decades.

Quite true. Only the government can make changes in the laws that we have, by having their 'debates'. I believe they will bring up a topic and then debate for hours in a parliamentary session or something. Well, ths is what I think anyway. I agree with you. One does not need to be in sgforums to sense a lot of disenchantment already. But there is still hope for the next elections I guess: The WP's younger candidates would have come of age by then. But having said that, I do wonder just how many people will fall by the wayside while awaiting the next elections to appear...
