It is unfortunate that the graphic chosen is poignantly true that Mr Phoon had to be the unfortunate scape goat for the $3Billion debacle in Thailand.
To be fair, was it not the CEO herself, who was present to seal the deal with a handshake with Mr Thaksin himself, and that her subordinates were left to see through the entire execution ?
If the leadership had all the intention to be determined to take over the Shin Corp business structure - including the prize satellite - can Mr Phoon prevent or even deter this event from happening, even if he is aware of the consequences ?
Without a Public Enquiry to the manner in which Temasek conduct its business that resulted in the loss of $3 BILLION of our reserves, we will more then likely to see more of such events.
Since even after the Micropolis disaster that cost Singaporeans US$550 MILLION, the Singaporean public have not heard a word of regret, but have instead heard a willful retort that given the same circumstances, the same MICROPOLIS investment will be repeated.
Such is the arrogance of the well connected Elite protected by the Political Demi-God of Singapore. -

I trust Singaporeans not to like it when Temasek go aggressive on Investment returns... Coz Temasek owned close to 40%(start of 2006 when there aren't as many china ipo as it is now) of sgx capitalisation directly or indirectly....
As they are diversing their investment every where else in the world from sg, they may turn to squeeze others instead of singaporeans harder for investment returns...
So... in the mean time... Sit Tight~! -
