Many poor Singaporeans already find Sentosa "expensive' even at this level of charges if they want to visit every attractions in the island. The money can be used for a 2 nights 3 days stay in Genting highland or Cameron Highland in Malaysia!
when the world-class family leisure attractions are ready by 2010, even the middle income may find it expensive to visit the island resort!By then the GST may be 15% and the cost of living 5 times that of today's and our miserable pay packet may remain miserable due to the so called 'Globalisation" and the 'flexi-wages system'.
you may be surprised if you conduct a survey to find out how many Singaporean has not been to Sentosa Island in their whole lifetime because of the exorbitant charges! -

I think the most common reason for anyone to visit Sentosa is to go to the beach.
Heck, Sentosa is artificial anyway.
