New South Wales is confronting a new corruption scandal that threatens once more to undermine public confidence in the State's police service. A three-year covert inquiry by undercover police officers has produced evidence of a network of detectives and senior officers involved in the so-called "green-lighting" -- drug dealing in exchange for regular cash payments.

ALMOST 200 illegal brothels - four times the number of legal sex premises - are operating across Sydney, many of them in shopping precincts, apartment blocks, terraces and even suburban homes....3.I am sure corruptions involved.
The survey of unlicensed premises, conducted by the Adult Business Association (ABA) NSW representing the city's 47 legal brothel owners, is aimed at forcing the State Government and local councils to shut down the illegal sex trade...

What you lose over there, you make up for it in other ways.
I want my rural lands, cheap cars and houses and the right to own guns. If I get these, it's a tradeoff in other stuff I'm willing to make.
Tax rates 2006-07(in Aussie)oh.a good 30 % for middle class income!
Taxable income..............Tax on this income
$6,001 – $25,000............15c for each $1 over $6,000
$25,001 – $75,000...........$2,850 plus 30c for each $1
.......................................over $25,000

Everywhere, there are corruptions...whether is legalised or illegal. If I'm the boss of a few public companies with mostly are ''own'' people on board as directors...I could declare my director fees, salary, allowances, entainment fees, dividends, bonuses and perks as high as possible with minimum or rather NO objection or dare not object from the board of directors. I could even do more legalised corruption.....If I'm more than powderful enough to suppress the directors or managers from talking about itOriginally posted by lionnoisy:many pple think Aussie is the heaven to migrate and admired.

Then, you think sinkapore is a heaven to live in?
Any places will have their long and short..................Is just that Australia is excercising more human rights than sinkapore...thus the average and poors are being look after more reasonably as compare to sinkapore.
FYI, my far relative Aunty migrated there in Perth a few years ago.......She told me; Last time, if I would have managed to find more about Australia.......... ''I should have migrated earlier"![]()
'Most strikingly, one in two Australians who had used heroin in the last month (50.3%) were diagnosed or treated for mental illness in the last 12 months compared with only one in eleven (9.1%) of those who had not used heroin in the last 12 months,' Mr Batts said.3.Of course, your kids may be drug abuser in Spore. But the chance
In 2004, one in fourteen young Australians aged 12-15 years (7.2%) reported having used an illicit drug, with marijuana/cannabis use accounting for most of this (5.2%).
and that one in eight (12.9%) reported having been abused, either verbally or physically, or having been put in fear by someone affected by illicit drugs.
Marijuana remains the most widely used illicit drug in Australia, with 37% of males and 29% of females reporting having used it at some time.5.Arm yourself with drugs knowledges before you settle in Aussie?
Around one in five males and one in seven females used at least one illicit drug in the 12 months before the National Drug Strategy Household Survey.
Use of other illicit substances is low relative to marijuana and less than 1% of Australians injected an illicit drug in the prior 12 months.

Oh well. In the national language of Singapore, I say the following:

If you were serious about having a balanced discussion, you would not merely take the margins of Australian society and paint it to all of us as mainstream happenings.Originally posted by lionnoisy:2.'Tambah satu sebelum benang ini ditutup'.??

for they may feel lose face Chooseing the WRONG place to settle!!
Well, what i tell you here are very common in developed western
countries. In fact ,nothing new for those countries---corruptions
(and tied up with politicians),drugs,gangsters.....all are related.
Corruptions provide protections to vice activities etc.
Gangsters provide funds to politicians who inturn
protect the gangsters etc....
There are too many imperfect things in spore ,too.
All are welcome to expose here.
4.If any MOD think i have crossed the red line,pl mail me NOW.
I have posted so many stuff and so far going ok with MODS.
Why?Simple. What i say supported by facts and i add some
humble opinions.

ALMOST half of all Australians aged under 25 have used illicit drugs and view their use as acceptable.3.pl read how secondary students there abuse drugs!!
Although possession or use of most illicit drugs could result in a jail sentence, research shows more than six million people of all ages were undeterred.
Almost half of them took illicit drugs other than marijuana and 2.5 million in total had used illicit drugs of some kind in the past year.
One in three Australians have tried marijuana at least once.

4.i am old fashions and cant accept this kind of so called western liberal
habits.i just happy my kids not exposed to this risks before they are

5.If any parents study the drugs problems,if any, know the situations
,assess the risks, and still send their kids there,i just say they
have made a well informed decidions.

there is much more ppl there compared to singapore. so with more ppl, the possibility of ppl taking drugs gets higher. so the percentage should be so right?
and u might wanna quote numbers that are from e more popular destinations: perth, melbourne, etc
