Just wondering are the positions of MM and SM permanent positions in our Singapore political system?
How does one get to be MM and SM?

Personally I have nothing against him, I just don't like his way of suppressing opposition who disagree with his policies.
In chinese they have a saying about, how assets and businesses acquired from forefathers won't last more than 3 generations. -

As elder statemen, can't they contribute in the gahmen without receiving any pay at all? Setting fine examples in the spirit of 'volunteerism' would definitely connect with the people...

Well, ministers' ain't pegged to NS Men's, so doubt it... it is better if they want volunteerism to flourish in Sin City they should set examples instead rather than be paid at all.
