If we think they deserve the vote, we give it to them. And please, they don't deserve to be there just because of what they did yesterday. They deserve to be there only if they can make sure tomorrow will be better.
No offenses to other people in the thread though.

PAP are better off as a minority government, with 45% of the vote, with 30% WP, 20% SDA and the rest SDP. 3. Danger to your own safety - in the struggle, these two people are not only hurting each other, they can also hurt any people who intervene. There are previous cases of hapless bystanders slashed to death during a gang fight when they try to help.
In a situation like this, the best thing to do is to call the police and calmly tell them what is happening and where the location is. They are better trained to deal with this.
As for the comment about "dogs eating dogs", may I remind the TS that everyone in Singapore whether foreign-born or local-born have the same rights to personal safety.
I don't know and don't care what happens in China, and I am not interested in the disagreement between these two individuals, but when the struggle begins, I firmly believe that the intervention of the 55 year old uncle, while rash, deserves our admiration. The people standing idly by are not reflective of a civil society. -
Imagine if the knife-wielding assailant got bashed in the head repeatedly by someone with a crowbar and died as a result. That would be fun. Everyone would hail the killer as a hero and testify to his defence.

Actually ah, with medical care so costly in Singapore, and you still need to pay 30% of all medical costs even if you HAVE sufficient Medisave and use it for medical charges after intervening the knife-wielding China man.
Is it worth it?
I suppose only that 55 year old uncle thought it is worth it.... perhaps, he knows he has enough Medisave.... -

But I DO care that a man could be stabbing a woman in the streets and no one cared (and someone even STOOD BY AND VIDEO TAPED the crime), until the uncles came by ....
