You should ask the person who thinks the Government is that hand that feeds us.Originally posted by foomwee88:We dont hate PRC nationals, but many of these ppls' behaviour here is as such making us feel annoyance .
I think all of us here should comment on the matter and should not amount to personal attack, pls!!!!
TS is obviously trolling.Originally posted by Fatum:I don't think this says much about the nationals of a particular country, but it does say a lot about the thread starter ....
You represent China and you are the voice of the PRCs?Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:If this happens in China, those ppl will probably just stand at the side and look until the woman is being stabbed to death. That's China.![]()
There r also Sporean cannot stand their own fellow Sporean. It is the same.Originally posted by ShutterBug:As you can all see, violently demonstrated, even their own kind CANNOT stand their own nationals.
What more need I say?
You people are all still so farking blind ...
PAP are better off as a minority government, with 45% of the vote, with 30% WP, 20% SDA and the rest SDP. Their survivability should NOT be in their hands, but in that of 3rd parties who endorse them.Originally posted by Skibi:ShutterBug, people like you are the sole reason why i vote for PAP and even volunteer to do work for them. Bunch of cowards hiding behind your monitors, trying to(but failing miserably to) bite the hand that feeds you. People like you don't even dare attend opposition rallies, and secretly vote for the PAP before coming here online to bash the PAP. Let me tell you one thing, anyone in the young PAP would have stepped forward and stopped the guy regardless of the danger. This is the difference between members of the ruling party and people like you.
There are a few reasons why the bystanders are not helping and we should not blame them too much:Originally posted by ShutterBug:I too, will also just watch or walk away...
Afterall... dogs are bound to eat dogs....
This case sound familiar but it seemed the attacker n his victims classmates.Originally posted by dragg:the PRCs aside, even if it involves the local i am sure most people wont do anything.
remember the cck shopping mall murder? a teenager slashed another to death in the sports shop. but who did anything to help?
those people who say, "i will do this and that" are only saying it because they are not there.
It could be attributed to many reasons such as dispute between one another.Originally posted by foomwee88:I think the issue here is why these PRC nationals behaved in such a manner in a foreign land ? Are they whom our gov wanted to attract??? If yes, our doom and gloom days r coming soon!!!!
I think u had missed my point!!!!Originally posted by will4:It could be attributed to many reasons such as dispute between one another.
The list can go on.
oooo you mean like the way they stood up for the oppressed electorate?Originally posted by Skibi:Let me tell you one thing, anyone in the young PAP would have stepped forward and stopped the guy regardless of the danger.

Will u behave in a foreign land like carrying a bottle of drink walking along a road in Brunei where u can be put into jail and be fined!!!
I just cant believe u if u r sporeans dare to do so but these PRC flies not only soliciting prostitution in a muslim country but also want to destroy the social value of their religion.
haha...please run for election as an Opposition Party candidate. With more people like you, the PAP will sail through another election with both eyes closedOriginally posted by ShutterBug:Personally, Huang Nah's case is in my opinion, STAGED.
They are so friggin money-greedy they'd friggiin do any damn thing!

History happened in TW will repeat itself in Spore!!!!Originally posted by sinicker:run for election as Opposition?
in singapore, that's committing suicide, just that you dont die. you live thru it.
Some years ago I was in an accident in which the SBS transit bus I was on was sandwiched by two other buses. How do you explain that nearly all the passengers (most were poly students) left immediately to catch another bus to their destination while the bus driver was pinned to his seat and bleeding at the head? Bystander effect or plain just bo-chap attitude? Most of us won't bother to do anything except when it's someone dear to us who is involved. That's a sad fact of life.Originally posted by Cystaire:There are a few reasons why the bystanders are not helping and we should not blame them too much:
1. Ambiguity of situation - two people are struggling in a knife fight. Who is the assailant? If you are just a passerby you have no idea what is going on.
What if you restrain the guy, and the lady stands up and stabs him dead right in front of you?
2. Bystander Effect - discovered by US researchers, this effect occurs when too many people are witnessing a violent crime. Everyone expects somebody else to help, so nobody helps.
To avoid the bystander effect, if you stumble upon a violent scene and you cannot call the police directly, do not hesitate to INSTRUCT any one to do so. This is also helpful to save people who have suffered from heart attacks.
3. Danger to your own safety - in the struggle, these two people are not only hurting each other, they can also hurt any people who intervene. There are previous cases of hapless bystanders slashed to death during a gang fight when they try to help.
In a situation like this, the best thing to do is to call the police and calmly tell them what is happening and where the location is. They are better trained to deal with this.
As for the comment about "dogs eating dogs", may I remind the TS that everyone in Singapore whether foreign-born or local-born have the same rights to personal safety.
I don't know and don't care what happens in China, and I am not interested in the disagreement between these two individuals, but when the struggle begins, I firmly believe that the intervention of the 55 year old uncle, while rash, deserves our admiration. The people standing idly by are not reflective of a civil society.
