What biz u doing ar? You hire 100% Singaporeans? How u do that ar? Coz i find it very difficult to achieve leh.. I put up ads wanting to pay extra.. also very difficult to get Singaporeans. I admire your "Caring for countryman" attitude, I also try to do that. But the fact is there jobs Singaporeans dun wan.. and there are things Singaporeans cannot do.
I recently setup another small biz, I hired a Malaysian on Employment pass, But becoz of him, I am able to create a new position and hired a Singaporean! If I have to hire PRCs to create jobs for fellow Singaporeans, I will do it. Imagine if I 'hate' PRCs' (Malaysian 'FT' in my case) like u.. there will be one less job for Singaporeans.
Of coz I do not agree with all gov FT policies and there are businesses that trade locals for 'FTs', but that is a different story altogether. My point is that we cannot be inward looking and exclude foreigners. -

Sometimes I wonder wad the govt trying to do.. act like they're all for racial tolerance.. but they're sowing seeds of hate by depriving their own citizens of priviledges and letting foreign talent undercut us locals.. seems like being a Singaporean is a disadvantage these days. -

Talking abt the saga of the PRC lady being stabbed......... cross your heart and ask your self honestly whether u would step forward and fend off the aggressor? It is very easy to type brave words behind the screens of ur monitor while resting comfortably in a chair. But in the heat of the chaos, I doubt anyone, even in foreign cities would dare stand forward and fight off the armed man. Besides it is normal human reaction to run for cover when these things happen. For example a robbers entering a goldsmith shop with parang, dun tell me u will do a Jackie Chan style and fight them off?
But seriously, I have read from our local Chinese daily before on an article abt this young girl accidentally falling into a pond in one of the cities. When her parents begged for people to help rescue the girl, there was this fellow who when to the extend of asking the parents to quote him a price for him to go down and save her..................
