I couldn't help but notice a few choice words on the Channel 5 News tonight. MM Lee is in Vietnam, and has met Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. The newscaster on Channel 5 described the two as "the two leaders".
On a political level I've never heard the word 'leader' used to refer to anybody other than the prime minister or president of a country, whether in Singapore or overseas media.
Was this a mistake? A bending of the word "leader"? Has the shocking truth been acknowledged?
What are your takes on this?
Maybe the news was saying ''leeches'' and you heard it wrong.
