Scholars equals to good leaders?

If I am an all As scholar in 19 subjects does that make me a wonderful leader? Is Singapore using wrong method to choose our future leaders huh?

Never judge a person by its certificate. There is a difference between study smart and working smart. Not all scholars are good leaders.

But our gahment is lead by scholars, our army is lead by scholars, our public service is lead by scholars...

Intelligence has little (or no) relation to leadership qualities.
Nonetheless, I'd rather have a smart leader, than a not-so-smart leader. A leader not only has to get the job done well, he has to be able to hold intelligent talk and discussion with other leaders. Diplomacy and stuff, you know? -

Rich and leader are 2 different categories. Unless by leader, you mean the leaders of the economy, then okay. most of them were scholars because of the mistakened belief by lau lee so many years ago...

these ppl may be good in studies only
but EQ, interpersonal rship, resourcefulness, adaptability........they fail badly......
resulting in them being rigid, oni know how to follow the book and freak out when something out of the textbooks happen and they dunno how to handle -

Possess good co-curricular activities records and strong leadership qualities
You also need your teachers and principals to support you.
They work with you thor CCA and assess your leadership,
characters,human relationship,mental endurance
facing difficulities,among other things.
If you think scholars are book worms ,think twice.
They are or must be a leader in school.
2.Scholars always make the right choice in life.
We hope they can also make right choice for the country!!
3.you must be a good leader then become a candidate for scholar,
but not the other way round!!

In politics we presume that everyone who knows how to get votes knows how to administer a city or a state. When we are ill, we do not ask for the handsomest physician, or the most eloquent one. -
I think you are right on this one. We need to move away from the notion that academic achievement equals leadership potential.
