Somehow I feel that the PAP is still in power because of the lack of credible opposition. But whose fault is it that there is no credible opposition?
Stop using public funds to entice the general population MIW, try to win fair and square. -

I fear for the future...
Because as I've said before; if for the political scenario to CHANGE here, Singapore need to go through some very extreme ordeal that may take years to rebuild thereafter.
It would be like the September Eleventh...the fall of the current gov wil mean the fall of our economy. And whoever takes over, will have the daunting task of restarting Singapore's economic machine.
One word sums it: MAYHEM.
But as the saying goes; no pain, no gain - or rather no change, for this matter. -

put it in tis scenario:
ur parent object ur marriage, who do u listen? support ur parents since they bring u up and lose the one who is going to be ur true love? or deny ur parents n marry this gal since u feel she might be the one who can bring happiness for u in future. dun tell me u r going to kill urself?
opposition parties may not have creditability... but who know they can do a better job if u give them a chance? tell me how many pap mp (esp those who in GRC) are good? i can tell u most of them are free riders as well. -
