  Things are getting out of hand. I just wish that things are getting better in Singapore but it's not. The only resources that our gahment has is people and the gahment is looking to suck the people dry. Their policies are inflexible, handled by people lacking the human touch. I no longer feel that the government are working for us, helping us.
  
  No discussions here, I just want to hear out what we common people think.
  
  If you feel government is doing a great job now, the key word is now, not what they did since 1965. The new generation PAP. If you are happy with their performance so far, put a

  Feedback Unit is for show only. Ministers, MPs are for show only. There will be continuing push by the government to tax citizens on big ticket items like housing and vehicle taxes to the fullest and many citizens will find it difficult to survive.
  
  Globalisation is not the cause of our current problems but is has been cleverly used as an excuse for government to cover up real problems - e.g. double charging on lands belonging to citizens or corporatisation of essential government services to accumulate government surpluses like seen happening in NKF.
  
  I have replied to Feedback Unit upon its recent invitation email to me to take part in forums that it will be insincere on its part to keep inviting me for feedback when my past feedbacks have fallen on deaf ears.
  
  I have written to PM Lee and Ministers to look into real issues and problems instead of persisting in wrongful past policies.
  
  So I agree with you that the best is to write to PM Lee and MM Lee - hopefully they will now listen.
  
  I am now asking forumers to try to write to PM Lee and MM Lee personally if they feel that the government is still practising self-centred policies of the past without any change and without benefitting the people.
  
  It cannot be helped that we cannot do anything and all the ministers and civil servants and newspaper editors are too afraid to change.
  
  Even in despair, we should not give up as giving up is the worse form of derilection of our duty as citizen. (if we care about this country at all)

  I care about what is happening, but it's just that it makes me ill to know that we are so inflexible. Does everything really has to go by the books? Do you really need to be stone broke in order to get the gahment's assistance?

  Where there is life there is hope. So citizens will just have to be self-enlightened and not be duped into docile ignorance.

  If its as easy as you said, then many would have gone off liao... Need $$$ and preperation leh.

  so if that "many" dun have the $$$ and preparation, den stay here, work hard, keep their mouth shut and dream of the other countries they would want to go to and eventually lead a peaceful life there.

  Thats y i would say be contented with what you have currently, life can be worse. Its up to the individual to choose what kind of life you want. People always point out the weaknesses of others, how about them switching positions with them? A classic example would be kids wanting to be adults and adults wanting to go back to school. Some people just dun cherish what they have currently.

  If they can then we won't be seeing all these at all. Tranquility within chaos. But then again, I am contemplating migration... I kinda like New Zealand. The place seems nice and soothing.
