Singapore still has plus points especially when you compare with countries in poverty. But i think they know they are unable to meet the aspiration of the new generation of Singaporeans, perhaps thats why they try to compare with countries that are worst off than us rather than those who are better than us.Originally posted by (human):If you don't own anything here what is the meaning of staying here, serving ns here and etc?
Yes i know. I am working on it.Originally posted by FireIce:ur luck and fate u are born in singapore
u have a choice to leave this place u know.........there is always a choice.
What I want to know is why everything is going up, if there really a need for the bloody transportation company to make so much profits? This is a smart move on the PAP side, they privatised everything so profits is number one, and they can wash they hands off everything. Fark if everything is privatised, Singaporeans are going to die because profits will be number one, not keeping the cost of living down...Originally posted by kilua:Singapore still has plus points especially when you compare with countries in poverty. They own our arse.Originally posted by (human):Men love their country, not because it is great, but because it is their own. The government has made us feel that the country don't belong to us. Or should put it that it looks more like thiers?

Cut $100,000 still profit lah... With the interest you pay on the loans, COE and medical expenses? Singaporeans should have extra $300,000 in their bank accounts by the time they hit 65 if not for the "hidden taxes".Think about it, if Singapore is a real democracy, you have extra $300,000 in your bank account!Originally posted by bigmouthjoe:Is it really impossible for the HDB to reduce all HDB units by $40,000 each? Will they still make a loss or profit? I have a feeling they still profit.
In that case... why make it so expensive? Last time my friends pay off quite fast (in 10 years I think), now it seems like my friends paying forever...Originally posted by AndrewPKYap:Cut $100,000 still profit lah... Can still be the same people in power but they dare not take your money like that in case you kick them out.
Why do you think they have so much money to "invest" in Thailand (Shin Corp) and other property development projects in Bangkok; Hong Kong (Dao Heng Bank) and Australia (Optus) among others...
