While cold fusion looks interesting and might be the solution to the problem, it's very immature and risky to rely on a technology that hasn't been perfected. It's easily 30 to 40 years away from being commercially viable, in that timeframe, the environmental damage will be too great to undo.
For all we know, cold fusion might never become viable. -
I always believed and wanted to say this:
Hundreds of Millions of years from now, a new inhabitant of this planet of ours we call Earth, will be digging up our dwellings like we dug up the ruins and remains of prehistoric man.
Even if you and I are both no longer here to attest to what I just said, I strongly feel that it will come true.
We are as primitive as the Dinosaurs, we are not different from them due to our nature of violence, killing, and plundering of Earth.

Cold Fusion is currently hot air, though there are some interesting phenomena being investigated, like the case where water is bombarded symmetrically by sonic waves and light is observed. The processes behind it aren't clear and are mere speculation.

I'm so glad im not the only who think this is so urgent.
I have tonnes of information on my hand to share.
But in the end, those concerned incl myself, have limited power to change.
What i'm thinking is that we should pressure our government and media to
do something about this.

Morever, our 'model' is often copied to other developing nations,
eg vietnam.
Global warming is the responsiblilty of every industrialised nations.
We ought to do something. -
· Reduce usage of wood products.
Trees and plants remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by photosynthesis and releases oxygen as waste product.
· Replant trees.
Plants, and for that matter, trees can potentially grow up to twice as fast in conditions where extra CO2 is available. -

This Global Warming thing affects everyone. So shall we do our part not to contribute to it by going environment-friendly? Or is the individual contribution too insignificant compared to the companies or the nations?
Let's examine the impact closely by going environment-friendly:
We reduce the use of air-con
We reduce the use of cars/buses/taxis/mrt
We abolish animal farms
We go vegetarian (bcos it takes a lot of food to feed your kobe beef, chicken, fish or any animal than to feed a human)
We cannot allow the motorised boats to go deep-sea fishing bcos it polutes the ocean
We hunt for our own animal food
We reduce the use of any form of environment-unfriendly chemicals: eg. plastics, cosmetics, etc
We need politicians with the political will to set environmentally-friendly laws
We need businesses with the will to go environmental-friendly
Hmmm.... now what is the cost to the current society? Can we bear to leave our social comforts to some very basic living so that our future generations survive?

Everyone seems to say that the temperature will go up but did anyone realise that the smoky gases that we emit may also block out the sun and cause temperatures to fall? This was what exactly happened more than 100 yrs back in Europe with the mini-Ice Age in the middle of the Industrial Revolution where too many people and companies were burning coal...
Yup, nowadays we hv managed to reduce the soot from the coal burning but did not manage to reduce the rest of the gases going into the atmosphere. Global Warming is here.....
