Tharman is there to deflect hatred away from the PM
u r stating dat the opposition are idiot, but dun forget u r indirectly helping the ruling parties to walk over winning the seat. right now we do not have a diff view in the parliment becos majority are made up of pappies, i have yet to see any members of the same party against his own party members.Originally posted by the Bear:i am consciously stating that i will NOT vote for the incumbent and i will NOT vote for an idiot put up by an idiot opposition..
i will not add to the percentage of the powers that be..
learn that there is more than the stated routes to show your dissent...
imagine.. what if one day, the winner has 30% of the vote, the loser 10% and 60% spoilt their votes on purpose?
what will that say to the powers?
think!!
knowledge and the courage to do the right thing are probably the only things that will save humanity.. and ourselves..

Everything would be automatically linked back to PAP in general
There arent even good individuals like GCT who stands out from the party.

i will rather give idiots a chance to prove themselves than to let us being slaughtered just because of the one party point of view.
GST is increasing, price has gone up and all we can do is suck our thumb, and choose to kpkb here. kinda pathetic we are if u ask me.
I don't know who was your opposition candidate in your constituency. But you can't blame the opposition for fielding poorer quality candidates, it's the dominant political party's fault that we have a weak opposition, knowing the dire consequences (bankruptcy) for standing up to them, would any sane educated individual stand up to them. If you persist in your way of thinking, there will never ever be a credible opposition in Singaporean politics. Only by breaking their domineering stranglehold on absolute power, can new and talented opposition candidates emerge.Originally posted by the Bear:i am consciously stating that i will NOT vote for the incumbent and i will NOT vote for an idiot put up by an idiot opposition..

when did CSJ come into picture? he's not even a candidate in the last election. the problem wif u pple is u like to lie to urself 'I'm not going to put an asswipe in a office'. this statement has written off the whole SDP party members where they never even do anything wrong.Originally posted by the Bear:dude.. you have to learn one thing..
Your enemy's enemy may not be your friend...
think about it...
what good is it if you throw out the incumbent just to put an asswipe like CSJ in office?

Then just be prepared to stick on to the 1 party rule, because if you don't overcome the initial obstacles, there won't be any good candidates to step in.Originally posted by the Bear:i don't blame the opposition.. except i am not going to cast a vote for some moron who can't even get his act together...
do not cheapen your vote by casting it in haste...
your enemy's enemy could be an even worse enemy to you...
Ermmm.....Originally posted by will4:More Sporean going to migrate after the Budget speech.
Which country?Originally posted by maurizio13:Ermmm.....
Even before the budget speech, I was already considering emigrating to another country, I have had this thought for at least 4-5 years already.
China, it's not really migration, more like permanent resident, it's a whole lot cheaper there.Originally posted by will4:Which country?![]()
Everytime I talked to people, they tell me they don't like the PAP style of governance, but when I asked why not vote for the opposition candidates, they say opposition don't have candidates with good paper qualification. In my mind I am thinking, when will we ever have opposition with good paper qualification, nobody with good paper qualification would want to join the opposition for fear of legal suits.Originally posted by LazerLordz:If you don't take the first step in taking back ownership of Singaporean politics, then I'm afraid you deserve the administration that you did not have the gumption to dilute.
Never take what any govt leaders' words as divine. No politician will tell you things detrimental to their own success.
A two-party system would be very likely in the future..
more than paper qualification actually.... Must be a leader in general... at least know how to talk properly~!! public speaking~!! but not talk blindly... those that complain abt everything surely wun get my vote...Originally posted by maurizio13:Everytime I talked to people, they tell me they don't like the PAP style of governance, but when I asked why not vote for the opposition candidates, they say opposition don't have candidates with good paper qualification.
