Ya Kun have gone ahead to raise their price for a set of coffee & butter with kaya toasted bread from $2.70 to $2.90.
I asked the China girl cashier about the raise and she mumbled vaguely about something to do with GST.

I do not see anything wrong. Why? If you allow transport operators to increase his fares because of oil prices, oherheads increase yet able to churn out yet another new level profits, what is wrong with hawkers increasing their prices
The only difference is you can boycott the hawkers but you can't boycott the transports and other monopoly services
