Do SG waste energy?

I esimate local oil consumption is only 200,000 bpd(barrels per day).
This is a fraction of 700,000 to 800,000 bpd usually adpoted.

Does Singapore consume more energy than other developed countries?
SG has been always accused of wasting energy.But they overlooked
SG is the no.1 bunkering sales port(ship fuel) and much of
oil import is for refined to other oil products and for export!!
80% of local electricity is generated by natural gas which
produce less polluated particles.
2.According to links above,the oil consumptions of similiar developed
countries are:
Country......bpd/million population
Australia.....40,000
Taiwan........43,000
HongKong....40,000
Assume Singapore is 45,000 bpd/million populations,
SG consume 200,000 barrels per day.

3.SG need to hit back common wisdom that
the country is one of the worst energy wastage.
But who will foot the bills,if there is wastage?
Though SG store 80 million barrels(1 day global usage) on her soil,it dunt mean SG waste energy.
Also ,SG is top 3 oil refinery center (by city) in the world of
max.capacity of 1.3 million bpd. -

Singapore has a very poor record when it comes to energy usage, more so in recent years with the chemical island where huge humongous amount of energy is used to refine crude oil and other chemicals. Precisely because of this, Singapore is unwilling to adopt more efficient energy resources. We need to sieve through the statistical propaganda that certain party is so capable of.

Why would oil companies shoot themselves by using alternative efficient energy resources? It's not in their interest. So it's not in the interest of parties that encourage this industry.
