What IF M'sia pack & roar in a trian of soldiers stretching

At peace time this scenerio may not happen, during war time, this crazy imgaination may need some closer examination!
What IF one day Malaysian armed Forces orders to assemble a train the length stretching from Tanjong Pagar to Woodlands, packed with armed soldiers and armoury,roar in without warning and stopping at the checkpoint in Woodlands,and the soldiers dispersing right in the centre of Singapore to take over control of all the strategic facilities of Singapore?
Do the fighter planes have enough time to fly in from Australia or the US to rescue the situation? As an NS man what is your response to such scenerio? Do we have time to fire any one of the 100 missiles we acquired?
The relocation of the railway station to Woodlands may minimise the risk of such scenerio to happan in war time, even at peace time!
Any mindful war strategist will paint such a likely scenerio and take preventive measures Is Singapore taking enough measures to look into such needs?Are you aware or beware of such risk in Singapore? -
Before they can do such a ridiculous thing,our army will be activated to give them a 'warm' welcoming party as we are sure to know of such incidents before it happens,we are not another Kuwait hor,heehe

S'pore is never tested in a war yet,at least a known one. We may have all the F-16 & other sophistical weapons. But whether our soldiers can fight or not, no one knows. So whether we'll be like Kuwait or not, still early to say. I do hope not so. Anyway, as a military strategy, never be overconfident of yourself & underestimate your enemy!

Well firstly the quality of the Malayan Railways track does not allow their trains to go roaring about. I took the train before and it was very very slow, slower than taking the coach.
Such a tactic would hardly have the element of surprise and the train would be easily derailed or bombed by the SAF.
What is more likely to happen in the event of a war, is that you will see a long line of SAF soldiers lining up along the Malaysian railway land from Tg Pagar to Woodlands, and then when the war starts, they will suddenly rush in and take it over. (This is meant as a joke)
Whilst on the topic of railways, note that if you ever take the train from Tg. Pagar to my, you must keep your train ticket until you return to sg because the my immigration at Tg Pagar will not stamp your passport. They will not do it because doing so might anger the sg authorities who might interpret it as a claim that the railway land is part of my. As such you have to produce your train ticket to the my immigration on your return to sg to prove that you came in legally, and also make sure that they write in your passport that you came in by train, otherwise you might have problems next time you go there.
Actually it is faster to take the coach, so i wouldn't bother with the train unless they improve their track so that they can go faster. -
Much easier if all of them just drove to Malaysia in busses and cars. Why need train? Can reach parliament in 30 minutes.
Or better yet, boat. Can land in Changi airport and close it down, land in Shenton way and cut off communications.
Notice all such posts is in the MOST ideal defensive scenario for Singapore. How each of our soldiers can kill 100 of the enemy etc. GROW UP.

e) Stay put for 2 weeks. (USA RDF can not deploy that fast into ASIA)
Try thinking how to defend against that scenario. Remember the following that no one has invaded Singapore yet.
THE BEST DEFENCE IS A GOOD OFFENSE
Invade Malaysia? Ok. All they need to do is to once again blow up the 2 causeways and the troops in Singapore will not be supplied, 40% less water for us to use.
So do you see that it is futile to bring all these our army better than theirs scenarios up. If you want, come up with a logistics diagram and prove that it can work.

other than singapore straits, there is no other straits, such a move is a great way to declare war against the whole world. not forgetting the fact that US has naval base less then 500 miles away in the indian ocean with B-52 bombers. and the indians and chinese each has a base no more then 800 miles from singapore in the andaman island and burma respectively.
c) cut off submarine cables (no communications)
while you cut the cable, kindly fly a kite to shoot down the communication satellites of USA and other superpowers. i believe they will see that you pay well for such a stunt.
d) put SAMS in Johor and Riau (no flights either)
malaysian and indonesian SAMs has a range of under 3km, how do you expect to cover singapore air space with that?? not to mention that the nearest indonesian land is 40 km from singapore.
e) Stay put for 2 weeks. (USA RDF can not deploy that fast into ASIA)
but USA tomahawks only took 2 hours to reach KL or jakarta from south china sea or indian ocean or australia. and once the americans starts shooting, you will find it very difficult to ask them to stop.
Try thinking how to defend against that scenario. Remember the following that no one has invaded Singapore yet.

you can blow up the 2nd link bridge in tuas. but you cannot blow up a causeway linking to JB simply because it is not a bridge and it is rock solid all the way down to the bottom of the johor strait.
secondly, singapore has some very very fancy bridging equipment that can span the johor straits in under 12 hours.
So do you see that it is futile to bring all these our army better than theirs scenarios up. If you want, come up with a logistics diagram and prove that it can work.

Firstly, I will admit that you did not start this post, and that you are just defending our national capabilities. Fine. I agree with you that the scenario of Malaysia invading Singapore is not winable for them.
I will say that you have first hand knowledge of our military capability and either really know what our "potential" enemy has (you are in military intel) or just suffering from a bad case of testerosone (just out of NS) I will believe in all your arguments that in a invasion, we will win (and really hope that you are right)
But in your ending statement of the everything is linked and related to each others, please bear this in mind. We need them as much as they need us. Hence, to provoke them (by keep having superior attitude and increasing military spending, going against afta etc) is definately not "neighbourly" of us.
My argument is for peace. However, I am not as confident of you that our military will win a invasion of Malaysia if the worst ever happens. I am of the opinion of not provoking our neighbours.

I haven't fire yet but got touch before...so these are my views.
The SAR21 is heavier than the m16...about 1kg more but it felt lighter becoz it's compact and short compare with the M16. Which is longer and very "ting teh" at times.
The SAR21 is bullpup designed.....meaning the magazine is at the butt. This can be odd for older soldiers who are used to the M16. In the M16, you click press the button with your index finger and the Magazine come out. The SAR21 button is at the back so you need t use the other hand to press. Very odd position :/
The scope is cool. You see clearer and it's easier to aim. Dun need to aglin any front sight and rear sight coz there's just a crossshair in the scope. They also cum with rubber covers to cover the scope if not use.
I ask those who use before. They say raining the scope sometimes "fog out" or if got water it blur the vision. So if not using better cover the scope to protect.
Cocking the weapon need some getting used to. The charging handle is relatively difficult the pull the bolt back cause the handle is twistable and rather flimsy.
It's also rather stiff when I tried out with the display set but it could be due to the lack of oil in the bolt. (m16 sometimes also like that)
One thing that I concern about the rifle is whether does it have a "combat loading" function. You see, the M16's bolt will locked back when the last round has been fired. So you just need to change the magazine and ease the spring so the bolt will slam back with the new round. They don't teach these in BMT due to safety resons with units will teach.
I spoke to the demostrator about it, he say that SAR21 also has comabt loading function but it's hard to simulate without a round. hmmm.....
I also scared the SAR21 will make you deaf. The chamber is near to your face so it'll surely be very loud when you fire. -

Singapore SAR-21 .223 is a very impresive bullpup rifle for close range up to 300m giving 90% hits score in rapid semi-auto fire.... very good!!!!!!
Resemblance to Steyr AUG... indeed very good design for Asian size & close combat situation

as i have said before, due to singapore's NS policy, practically every male singaporeans are trained in military skills, as such, surrender is not an option open to us, as any enemy would be seriously worried of the presence of such a large population with military trainning. any of our enemy must see this threat neutralised before they can sleep in peace. a threat that our enemy can only neutralise by either killing off all singapore man with prior military training or chop off both their hands to make sure they would not threaten the aggressor.
so to all you goondoos out there claiming SAF cant fight,you are actually lowering SAF's deterence value and push singapore nearer to war. and if singapore did loose the war,you can kindly chop off your own hands if you want to live in the event SAF lost the war, that is if you didnt die in the course of the war.
SAF is not perfect, cos it is made up by people, how can SAF be perfect when man is not anywhere near perfect?? you all have your critics, you all have your doubts, you all question SAF ability. let me just say this, SAF for better or worst is the ONE and ONLY organization that stands between your family and the graveyard. dont even dream that in the event of war, you can flee with your family to another nation, many claim taking the first airlines out of singapore, how to do that when changi airport will be top of the list of strategic bombardment? harbours, airport will all be targeted, you rush to airport is as good as rushing to your graves.
Oh, i havent got the chance to use the SAR21 yet, my unit still using M16. -
