In fact, i think the govt share my concern too when it insist that Malaysia CIQ be moved from TJ PG to WL CIQ in accordance to international rules and practice.
However... i do not think malaysia would try such a stunt unless it is going to declare all out war against singapore. because a train packed with troops could post a serious problem for SAF... it aint gonna win the war, but merely serve to start the war on singapore favour.
Secondly... for every tactics, there is a counter tactics, it all depends on the mind of those in command as to how to address a situation, and in view of the obvious glaring danger post by such a potential attack, it goes without saying, the scenario and counter moves are being planned up probably ever since the first incident when a group of MAF soldier drive across the causeway and killed a group of SAF officer during SAF's infancy back in 69.
The danger in war is not being able to see the obvious, but failure to see the unseen hidden danger which at times appear impossible turns out to be a brilliant stroke of genius.
But the biggest problem that singapore will face is.... can we trust the singapore malays?? from our daily dealings with singapore malays... i am not so sure. they tend to look at race and religion before nation. their thinkings is along the line of singapore being part of malaysia rather than an independent state.
In fact, whenever the mentioning of war against malaysia was brought up in casual conversation... their opinion is SAF will loose for sure, like guaranteed by Allah. and the idea of singapore SAF crushing MAF seems a horrendous if not an impossible possibility, in fact, the singapore malays has greater trust in MAF then the malaysian chinese!!
I have seen the same attitude in the malays way back during the gulf war... when i told some malays that America is gonna crushed the iraqis like a stink bug... the idea horrifys them! and some nearly comes to blows with me over a simple causal comment over the disparity of forces.
throughout the gulf war, the malays stick their ears to the radio waiting for the latest news and forget about their studies, and when it becomes obvious that iraq is gonna loose the war to everyone else, they still cling onto the belief that iraq will still win until the very end.
So i ask... was it because that the other races are bias and as a result dont trust the malays because we are surrounded by malays OR was it a case of the malays making themselve from being trusted due to their overt extreme emphasis on race and religion??
I feel.... due to the nature that islam is structured.... a future war along the islamic divide appears inevitable. and if nostradamus prediction comes to fruition.... its gonna be one fucking hell war...
according to nostradamus... isreal and the entire europe, will be crushed by the arabs before US, CHINA and RUSSIA leads a full counter strike all the way into middle-east finally crushing and forcing the muslims to surrender at tehran.
