In the east was a little shining red dot,
A Westminister one-man-one-vote democracy,
Where good men once elected by citizens
To fight against injustices and inequity,
To serve the people with humility,
Began to feel they were the talents,
Who deserved to be voted by the citizens,
They became haughty and cocky,
Voted for their own hikes in salaries,
Benchmarked against the wage category,
Of all the highest paid bosses in industries,
They tax, and recover costs but kept taxes
As surpluses are good to keep as success,
Not satisfied with one-man-one-vote democracy,
They tinker with the election process,
To block one-man-one-vote constituency,
In name of ensuring racial harmony,
But actually it is to create monopoly,
They sue whoever bespeak blasphemy,
As repetition will become truth,
Till no one is standing on election day,
Till election is erection of big banners,
For declaring good time for another 66.6 % mandate,
To determine how much is their salaries,
Or to pay or not to pay for lift upgrade or rebates on conservancy,
To citizens who do not seem to vote correctly
Lands are bought on people's monies,
But people will be made to pay the land again,
When they buy the HDB flats,
Red dot is red hot on all the taxes,
Collected as surpluses to pay highest salaries,
To good men called talents to avoid corruption,
Never mind about the souzhou or shin corp,
They are long term investments,
Election goodies will take care of memories,
Integrated resort will be monies to drown misery,
Never mind the dropping wages,
Never mind the rising costs of living,
For which country has no rising costs,
People must trust the leaders as they are never wrong,
But People seem ungrateful grousers,
Who want only free speeche or One-man-one-vote choice,
Aren't these the cause of all troubles,
People ought to be grateful to the red dot.
