  "INFLATION" in Singapore means "Everything all over the world increases in price"... including salaries of the top earners but not salaries of poor workers in Singapore. Their salaries come down.

  Thanks for the explanation. I mean I don't get it in relation to the topic. Does it mean that "elites" are or should be gracious / good humored / compassionate people because they have so much?
  
  The "elites" in Sgp behave more like frustrated coolies while they are working under the hot sun? That these "coolies" when they are drinking stout with their buddies behave in a less frus manner than the so-called "elites"?
  
  This is just my interpretation of what "mahawarrior" is trying to say. I am probably wrong.
