i know about DNA, but even blood relative can have non-matching organ. furthermore, it is about matching blood type n acceptance by the body more than DNA.
the doctor will try to find those organs that has a chance of matching rather than to transplant one that is going to fail.

Why should anyone be an unsuspecting donor? You don't go for a surgery without consent. You sure as hell don't sign anything without knowing what it is all about.
The whole policy reeks of convenience at other people's expense . No need for campaigns to encourage people to donate since they are automatically become a piece of equipment to be used for repairing others. Reminds me of Soylent green.
I can only think of the anguish caused to some families who discover that their loved one did not opt out and ended up looking like frankenstein because they or even him/her WERE NOT AWARE of the AUTO OPT IN .
AND What happens if their belief is such that they have to die intact or stay in limbo forever? Who is going to assauge their thoughts of a love one staying in limbo in eternity? Don't forget that people do have religious and cultural beliefs regarding their body. -

It is impossible to make such claims. Our gov is very good at 'proving' things, especially documentation. Also, everyone needs to pay attention to the postal mail box every month ending, when Bills, Taxes, and other Charges arrive. That is why I say that Opt in policy requiring the consent and signature of the person is better. i got government letters dated on 1st n reached my office in the middle of the month.
there is no records with singpost unless it is by courier. -

Just because no one or any organisation bothered to launch a widescale campaign encouraging people to organ donate or enlighten/educate people on the benefits of organ donation - now there is a right to multilate the bodies of others who were not aware of such a policy just because the demand is too high? What gives anyone the bloody automatic rights to a dead person's body? I know besides the muslims , there are other people with other beliefs which might not agree with transplantation.
