They pay themselves 1 million dollars a year while old locals who helped built this fine country has to go wash toilets, sell tissues at the hawker center.
They don't need praise. If they wanted it , they run the country for free. -

eg. Raise GST to Help the Poor, Elected President to safeguard the reserve etc..

Sorry to burst their bubble but the government is there to serve the people. -
They justified their millions dollars salaries by assuming that they are comparable to CEO of MNC. CEO never ask for praises. If they think they have done well, they were just doing what they were paid for. If they screwed up, they ought to be fired, but so far no one got fired because of the screw up.
and as it is, many in our society have yet to see how well they have done, especially those from the middle income group.
They have a lot to do to continue to justify their salary, if they want praises, they need to give a lot over and above what their jobs call for. -
Frankly, people are more ready to PROTEST than sing praises for them...!!

I thought these ministers had their own fan groups, like in the CCs or PA groups? Maybe they should take a walk around their constituency or something, let the groupies boost their morale abit.

This LBH should go reflect on why people seldom give thanks to the government in the first place.

Yeah I agree, they often work on points which they feel they can easily rebuff but when interesting and debatable topics were brought up by forumers, they choose to ignore them...
