there is always the chance of losing...depends on what the judge thinks...I dont think there is a 100% sure-win kind of case...even if U win the case...the amount of compensation would have to be decided by the judge...lets say the judge says that U need to assume a 10% liability urself....10% of the legal fees can be quite substantial depending on how complicated ur case is....so...its anyone's guess as to why a person would want to pursue a case in court...Originally posted by UandMe:not really mah, usually the loser side has to pay most of ur legal fee. they dun sue is probably because dun have full confidence of winning the case.

I think that lawyers who do pro bono work are the most noble. At least there is some ethics on their part and not bare-faced greed.
