Let's think about this logically, if someone posted ''20 major errors of Robert Teh'' in your website or blog, would you honestly say that you won't take it down? If you don't take it down or don't ban the commentor from making any more of these sort of comments, then you would be trying to prove a point, which is ''look at me! I'm so tolerant, i accept any sort of criticism thrown at me''. For some thinking people out there, we would only see this move as a way to set yourself up as a 'martyr' for the gullible ones out there. I can already see that there are some gullible people out there who see you as a martyr from being banned from the website.Originally posted by robertteh:I was banned from channelnewsasia earlier after a few writings about government's "20 major policy errors" This confirms that the government could not tolerate criticisms. It is not my type to post under another id.

When you say 'We', i think you are talking about the few people who read his posts. Well, go ahead to find out why he was banned, no one is stopping you.Originally posted by AndrewPKYap:We all are interested to know that he was banned and we are very angry that he was banned because he is well regarded here and we have yet to see him write any nonsense even though he is a bit chiong hei sometimes.
Based on the things that he writes here, to ban him is very dishonorable.
We assume that they banned him because they do not want his very eloquent discourses read by people in their propaganda website.

Anyone who is anti P*P must be an honorable person. What does he have to gain to be anti P*P? He takes the time to write long posts as well. Shows how dedicated he is. It does matter why they banned him. They banned him, they are dishonorable people.Originally posted by saffron60:When you say 'We', i think you are talking about the few people who read his posts. That is your assumption as to why he was banned, but some people think otherwise. What can you do about it? Only whinge, that's all you are good for.
You trying to be original is more scary than quoting other people. At least other people's quotes make sense.Originally posted by (human):I prefer tongue-tied knowledge to ignorant loquacity.

That is your opinion. We have established that we will never agree on this, so what's the point in talking about it some more? You think he is honorable, i think he is a whinger and martyr for the less bright ones out there. We will never agree, end of story.Originally posted by AndrewPKYap:Anyone who is anti P*P must be an honorable person. What does he have to gain to be anti P*P? Now, now, that is outright plagiarism. If you want to quote from 'plato' please say so. I think you'd better stop doing what you are doing, you will end up making a fool out of yourself.Originally posted by (human):Wise men speak because they have something to say, fools because they have to say something.
Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.Originally posted by saffron60:That is your opinion. i hope you understand that intimidation does not go down well with voters. cut the man some slack. you had made your point a couple of posts back. i felt that is enough.Originally posted by saffron60:Now, now, that is outright plagiarism. You are such a plagiarist, first you steal plato's quote and try to make it your own, next you steal Dale carnegie's quote. You have to come to terms with the fact that you are not bright enough to come up with your own witty statements to counter people's arguments. Stealing other people's quotes is not the way to go.Originally posted by (human):Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.
nice try. time for reflection?Originally posted by (human):Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.

I'm not trying to intimidate others, you completely lost the point. What voters are you talking about? Why should i cut some slack for a plagiarist?Originally posted by YI:i hope you understand that intimidation does not go down well with voters. cut the man some slack. you had made your point a couple of posts back. i felt that is enough.

The meaning of martyr in this context is '' someone who seeks attention or sympathy by exaggerating the impact upon themselves of some deprivation or work.'' quoted from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martyr
Don't get me wrong, i'm not pro-gov, i'm not pro-anything, i'm just stating the obvious for some of the thinking individuals out there.
you might want to remain anonymous but your view certainly reveals the side you are on and bad behaviour certainly does not bode well for your supporting party.Originally posted by saffron60:I'm not trying to intimidate others, you completely lost the point. Yes, it does matter, it's the difference between stealing and being original.Originally posted by (human):It doesn't matter if a cat is black or white, so long as it catches mice.![]()
Fully agreed with u that there is a g appears to be a fool who making us laughing non stop whenever he posted here!!!Originally posted by (human):Wise men speak because they have something to say, fools because they have to say something.
Oh my goodness. We are not here making profits by selling products. We are here to share ideas. Maybe you have being overly bombarded by commercial law.Originally posted by saffron60:Yes, it does matter, it's the difference between stealing and being original.

there are many ways to get your voice heard, going to the 'powers that be' website, is not an effective way at all. By doing so, you are only setting yourself up for a fall (which we all know will happen), so what's the point in doing the obvious? Roberteh must have been able to anticipate that he would be censored; for someone who claims to write 'THE TRUTH', surely he would be able to foresee the move by the website owner. My guess is he wants to set himself as a martyr for the discontent and the anti-PAP.Originally posted by the Bear:the party isn't a person nor is the site of the powers a personal thing... or is it??
an ego-trip?
but let's not get side-tracked...
hey! didn't the powers say that people are not coming forward?
well, someone did.. and what did they do?
i'm not anti-powers or whatever.. just pointing stuff out.. and there's a lot of stuff to point out which was done wrong by the powers..
You are what they call anal retentive... you get annoyed because he did not cite his sources? Do you think he is writing a peer reviewed scholarly article for publication?Originally posted by saffron60:Now, now, that is outright plagiarism. If you want to quote from 'plato' please say so. Haha..That is a pathetic excuse for trying to justify his plagiaristic actions. There are so many websites on the internet that you can learn your quotes from. If you want to quote someone famous, you have to give them due credit.Originally posted by YI:you might want to remain anonymous but your view certainly reveals the side you are on and bad behaviour certainly does not bode well for your supporting party.
to tell you frankly, i welcome those quotes by (human). it's a learning experience for me but who on earth is going to care/memorise about the originator/author? it's not like (human) is claiming credits for it. this is the internet. it's all about sharing information.
you can certainly forget about me memorise the author of every quotes.
neither will i ever go google up the information. perhaps the scholars up the echelon will be interested but i am not.
Share ideas? Or copy ideas? Some of us share ideas, but you like to copy ideas...like i said, big difference.Originally posted by (human):Oh my goodness. We are not here making profits by selling products. We are here to share ideas. Maybe you have being overly bombarded by commercial law.
