I disagree. A divided Parliament will delay the quick implementation of policies whilst politicians dig in their heels behind party lines. One of the strengths of Singapore has been our ability to respond quickly and effectively to change, essential for a small country.
It is more important to have the excellence rather than diversity. If opposition parties think they can do better, show us an alternative team and get Singaporeans to choose them in the elections.
