i hope PAP can be more gracious towards the oppostion party and not just gracious to the elite and rich. -
To be gracious to the opposition means that they cannot take as much as they like and invest in things like "Shin Corps" without accountability and pay themselves as much as they like. Do you think that they will do that if Singaporeans do not force them to do it?

I have to keep repeating myself because you just can't get it in that thick head of yours that my motivations for writing is different from yours. I already said that i'm writing for fun, and based on my observations on what's happening in the forum is that there's lots of biasness going on. I don't like this sort of thing, so sometimes i write something to counter the biasness.

If you accept that our views to be different, why do you prevent others from reading our writings ?

You have people like robertteh who 'claimed' that he got banned from the young pap website and immediately he came here to complain, and other people pointed out it could be a technical problem. But it went ding dong, upside down until people now don't know what to believe. At least for me, it took some time to see what's going on. you are right, i one of those mass population that doesnt have a chance to vote. me and friends grow up in environment that think PAP are clean, great something like the north korea. we go overseas study, started to have different perspective about how singapore should be. we hope our govt can have that " i say" " not our fault" , " we couldnt be wrong" mentality. listen and give what the ppl want instead of sending those post 65 MP to do hip hop dancing with young chaps and assume they know what our generation wants. Which has become laughing stocks in my circle of friends.
we dont object for the sake of object and we want changes to the system that the govt deem is " Not good" .
when we listen to parliament debate, i dont take long to analysis who is helping the ppl and who is not. increase GST to increase the salary of civil servant-- minister pay as well.
when will the hike in GST stop when minister earns 100 of millions a year? we peg our salary to the regional market but our minister and civil servant pay arent? we singaporean " aint stupid". if this goes on, i hope it wont be long before more credible singaporean will stand up and stand up to give singaporean a chance to vote.

Sheesh...i don't like to talk about issues like the GST hike and ministers high salary, i believe both issues have got it's own pros and cons.
Back to the topic, i don't believe in the ISA, it's only abused by those who are in power. Maybe in the past, it served a purpose when it comes to national security but not anymore. Ever since 9/11, Bush has been using 'this excuse' to create worldwide fear of terrorism and ISA seems to fit perfectly with the terrorist agenda. -
